Fantasy Baseball Impact: Dodgers' Jansen (foot) sidelined 8-12 weeks
Dodgers' closer Kenley Jansen had a growth removed from his left foot (his lead plant foot) on February 17th and will be out the next 8-12 weeks. That shakes out to likely missing the first month of the fantasy baseball season. Jansen ranks as our composite RP5 and 82nd overall in our Top 300 fantasy baseball rankings. He's saved 97 out of 116 opportunities over the past three seasons with 24 holds mixed in and posted a 2.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 13.91 K/9 rate in 65 1/3 innings pitched last season. His K/9 rate has been north of 13.0 over those same three seasons and was third among relief pitchers with at least 60 innings pitched in 2014. The guy is a stud and now we have to wait to see what the Dodgers' do, which could mean Rafael Soriano or everybody's favorite, K-Rod, Francisco Rodriguez.
