Cowboys Stadium will transform to a place of reverence when it hosts a memorial service for fallen Navy SEAL Chris Kyle on Monday.
Cowboys Stadium doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for the service which will begin at 1 p.m.
Parking Lots 1, 2 and 10 — those nearest the corner of Randol Mill and N. Collins — will be open. Parking is free.
Those attending the memorial are encouraged to arrive early. They can enter through Gates A and K on the north side of the stadium.
No cameras, bags, purses or "substantial" handheld items will be permitted inside. The Kyle family has also requested that the general public take no photographs or make recordings of the service.
Kyle, 38, and fellow veteran Chad Littlefield were shot and killed last Saturday at a gun range. Kyle and Littlefield were reportedly helping Eddie Ray Routh, the Marine Corps veteran accused of killing them, deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Kyle was known as the most successful sniper in US military history with 160 confirmed kills during four tours of duty in Iraq. He authored the book "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History" and became a popular figure after appearing on numerous talk shows and the reality television show "Stars Earn Stripes."
