Freshman pitcher Dallas Escobedo collected her second and third wins of the young season on Friday night as the Arizona State softball team improved to 3-0 with a pair of victories in the Kajikawa Classic: 6-5 over Cal Poly in eight innings and 1-0 over 11th-ranked Oklahoma State.

Escobedo came on in relief of Mackenzie Popescue in the Cal Poly victory. The Sun Devils got home runs from Sam Parlich, Mandy Urfer and Aleix Johnson to build a 5-0 lead, but Cal Poly rallied in the sixth and seventh to force extra innings. Parlich drove home the winning run in the eighth.

Escobedo went the distance against Oklahoma State, striking out 11. Krista Donnenwirth provided the winning margin with a fourth-inning home run.

The Sun Devils will play twice more on Saturday, taking on Oklahoma at 4:30 p.m. and Utah at 7 at Farrington Stadium.
