CHESTER-LE-STREET, England (AP) England was set a target of 79 by Sri Lanka to win the second test and clinch the series Monday after Jimmy Anderson took 5-58 to help dismiss the tourists for 475 after lunch on Day 4.

Dinesh Chandimal led the Sri Lankan resistance in scoring his sixth test century, but was bowled by Stuart Broad for 126 to usher along the end of the team's second innings. Rangana Herath (61) also frustrated England before being trapped lbw by Anderson for the paceman's 450th test wicket.

Anderson took three wickets Monday after Sri Lanka resumed on 309-5, still needing 88 runs to force England to bat again.
