PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa (AP) England restricted South Africa to 262-7 in the second one-day international on Saturday after Reece Topley's career-best 4-50 at St. George's Park.
Left-arm seamer Topley and allrounder Ben Stokes (2-54) curtailed South Africa's progress after the Proteas were set for a late surge on 205-3 in the 41st over.
But South Africa captain AB de Villiers fell for 73 to Stokes and JP Duminy for 47 to Topley three balls later to steal the home team's momentum.
Farhaan Behardien hit 23 not out from 26 balls at the end, but England never let South Africa get away.
