Eminem's advice for the Cowboys

Don't let all of his songs rapping about how tough it was to grow up in Detroit fool you...when it comes to the NFL, Eminem has love for another "Big D" team other than the Lions.

It's the Dallas Cowboys.

And in a recent interview with GQ Magazine, the rap superstar let it be known just how tough it was to watch his favorite team struggle again this season.

"It’s very frustrating to watch them week in, and week out," Eminem told the magazine. "They blew all those fourth-quarter leads this year. Man, it’s hard to be a football fan. You get invested in your teams, and it literally can ruin your entire (expletive) week."

Ok, maybe Slim Shady does have some love for his hometown team, but he explains where his passion for "America's Team" originates.

"Just for the record — I am a Lions fan first and foremost," Eminem said. "But growing up as a kid, the Lions were so bad for so long, that I picked up another team in the Cowboys.”

Eminem was interviewed for the magazine to give his Super Bowl predictions (New England and New Orleans...at least he has a shot to be half right).  But he turned his attention to the Cowboys and expressed many of the same feelings Cowboys fans had this season as they watched the team struggle and miss the playoffs yet again.

But, Eminem does not think that the answer to turning this thing around is by starting fresh, especially at quarterback.

"I hate to sound (expletive) cliché, but I truly believe that Romo gives them the best chance to win,” Eminem said.

But Eminem, who has sold more than 86 million albums worldwide, could get into the latest nationwide craze when he sits down to record his next hit song.

The artists has used several NFL players names in songs, and the quarterback who became a pop icon this season might be the next in line.

"Who knows? A lot of things rhyme with Tebow, though, right?" Eminem said.
