Early divisional matchups face Brewers in 2015
Major League Baseball announced its 2015 schedule Monday, as the Milwaukee Brewers will open next season with a home series against the Colorado Rockies.
Opening Day for the Brewers will be April 6 at Miller Park, one week later than it was in 2014.
After facing the Rockies, the Brewers will play 22 consecutive games against National League Central opponents. The Pittsburgh Pirates visit to conclude the first homestand of the season, while the Brewers' first road trip takes them to St. Louis and Pittsburgh.
The National League Central matches up with the American League Central for interleague play in 2015. Milwaukee will host the Chicago White Sox (May 11-13), Kansas City Royals (June 15-16), Minnesota Twins (June 26-28) and the Cleveland Indians (July 21-22).
Interleague road series include trips to face the Detroit Tigers (May 18-20), Minnesota Twins (June 5-7), Kansas City Royals (June 17-18) and the Cleveland Indians (August 25-26)
The Brewers will have a 10-game homestand (Dodgers, Cubs and White Sox) from May 4-13 and an 11-game stretch at Miller Park (Cubs, Padres, Cardinals) from July 30-August 9.
Milwaukee has three 10-game road trips next season with the first coming May 15-24 with stops in New York to face the Mets, Detroit and Atlanta. The final two 10-day trips come in September and October, as the Brewers play 20 of their last 32 games away from Miller Park.
The Brewers begin September with a home series against the Pirates but then head out on a 10-day trip to Cincinnati, Miami and Pittsburgh. Following a six-game homestand, Milwaukee heads out for 10 more road games beginning at Wrigley Field against the Cubs and continuing on to St. Louis and San Diego.
While most of September will be spent on the road, the Brewers play 24 home games over a 32-game stretch that begins in late July and goes through August.
The majority of weeknight home games will start at 7:10 p.m. in 2015, while four 6:20 p.m. start times are on the schedule (April 20, May 4, May 11, Sept. 3). Most afternoon home games are scheduled for 1:10 p.m., but the Brewers will play three 12:40 p.m. weekday games prior to school being let out. In the past, those games have begun at 12:10 p.m.
