AMSTERDAM (AP) Dafne Schippers led the Dutch relay team to the gold medal in the 4x100 meters relay on Sunday, clinching her second gold medal in as many events at the European Championships.
Schippers made a huge difference on the second leg and the team sped to a national record of 42.04 seconds, a performance good enough to make them challengers for a medal at the Rio de Janeiro Games next month.
Schippers already won the 100 meters with overwhelming power on Friday. The world champion in the 200, she decided to skip the event here to concentrate on the Olympics.
