COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Duke athletic director Kevin White and former New York deputy mayor Daniel Doctoroff, each with experience in bidding for the Olympics, are new members of the U.S. Olympic Committee board of directors.

The board announced the additions, which included Olympic gold-medal bobsledder Steve Mesler, at its quarterly meeting Friday.

They'll replace Bob Bowlsby, John Hendricks and Mary McCagg, whose terms ended in January.

White, who was AD at Notre Dame before moving to Duke, was on the steering committee for Chicago's 2016 Olympic bid.

Doctoroff was part of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration and, before that, oversaw New York's bid to host the 2012 Olympics.

The USOC recently chose Boston to bid for the 2024 Olympics.
