IRVING, Texas – Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher was not happy seeing quarterback Tony Romo sandwiched between two Giants pass rushers Sunday night.

"I was mad," Hatcher said Monday. "We've got to do a better job of blocking for him. We need that guy. He's a great quarterback. If he goes down, the team is going to go down. We need to do a better job of protecting him. That's what I was thinking."

Romo left the game briefly and was able to return to finish off a 36-31 win. Test results showed no rib fracture for Romo, but that didn't make him or Hatcher feel better on Monday.

"I'm not down on the offensive line at all," Hatcher said. "It's just that hit, man, it was just…he don't need that at all. They've just got to do a better job of keeping them guys off of him."

Hatcher was even willing to take a few snaps at guard, if that's what it took.
"I told them last night, just put me in there - I'll cut somebody," Hatcher said. "We need that guy. We don't need him getting banged up at all."
