Excerpts from DRIVEN: The Chipper Jones Story

"Everybody’s got a platform to stand up and be heard, and my platform was on the baseball field."

--Chipper Jones on playing baseball

"There was going to be a lot of weight on that glimmer of hopes shoulders, whoever it was…he was expected to be the next superstar. There was going to be that pressure right from the beginning. And that was the case with [Chipper]."

--Pete Van Wieren on Chipper Jones being the first pick in the draft

"That MVP year wasn’t a fluke; Chip has been an impact guy not only that year but every year."
