'DRIVEN -- Brian Stann: All American' premiering on FOX Sports South
FOX Sports South, a FOX Sports regional network, will debut 'DRIVEN -- Brian Stann: All American' on Friday, Sept. 5 at 11:00 p.m. ET, immediately following the Braves vs. Marlins coverage.
DRIVEN follows Stann's fascinating journey from the Naval Academy to the Marine Corps, and through his mixed martial arts career to his career in broadcast television. Also known as "All American," the episode gives fans exclusive insight into the life that earned Stann his illustrious nickname.
While at the U.S. Naval Academy, Stann played middle linebacker under Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson. But as the war in Iraq commenced, his life changed forever. DRIVEN dives deep into Stann's fighting career, both on the field of battle and with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), detailing his journey to who he is today: a veteran, humanitarian, and dedicated family man.
Said Stann about his UFC career, "I wanted to make sure that when I won and I had those successful times, those were times that I needed to cherish those men I served with that didn't make it. That's when I needed to memorialize them -- because without them I may not be here."
Stann is currently a UFC color commentator for FOX Sports and was previously a college football analyst with FOX Sports South. Stann is also president and CEO of Hire Heroes USA, a non-profit organization focused on reducing veteran unemployment by creating job opportunities for families who have served in the U.S. military.
