Don't be so quick to label Jerry Jones a villain

DALLAS -- At the tender age of 23, Jerry Jones was in the process of cobbling together a $5.8-million bid to buy the San Diego Chargers. It was 1965, it was the AFL, and it was a wild idea that seemed a bit beyond the means of the recent University of Arkansas grad and football player.

Jerry's father Pat talked him out of the investment. Sixty days later, that $5.8 million interest was sold to somebody else
