NEW YORK (AP) -- Landon Donovan says he needed to push himself to stay motivated when he returned to the Los Angeles Galaxy after the World Cup.
Preparing for the Major League Soccer Western Conference final against Dallas on Sunday, Donovan says it is too soon to think whether he wants to stay with the Galaxy or return to Everton in January, either on loan or in a permanent transfer.
He said Wednesday during a conference call, "I'll have to think about all that in the offseason."
San Jose is at Colorado in the Eastern Conference final on Saturday. The winners will meet in the MLS championship at Toronto on Nov. 21.
