MIAMI -- The Miami Dolphins have signed guard Billy Turner, it was announced on Friday.
Turner was Miami's third-round selection (67th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State University. He played in 57 career games with 56 starts while with the Bison. A two-time consensus All-America selection, he was a starter on a team which won three straight NCAA Division I FCS national championships.
Turner is expected to enter the season as the backup left tackle behind free agent acquisition Brandon Albert, but could also challenge second-year player Dallas Thomas for the starting left guard spot in training camp.
