Dolphins sign Dion Jordan a day before first practice
The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of defensive end Dion Jordan on Saturday.
With the signing of Jordan, the team's first-round pick, the Dolphins have signed all nine members of their 2013 draft class. And Jordan's signing is just in time as the Dolphins hold their first practice on Sunday.
According to a number of reports, Jordan signed a four-year deal (with a team option for a fifth year). The contract is valued at approximately $20 million.
Jordan was the third player overall taken in the 2013 NFL Draft. A four-year letterman and two- year starter, he appeared in 45 games (25 starts) for Oregon. He had 121 tackles, 14.5 sacks and 29 tackles for loss in his career.
A finalist for the Butkus Award given to the nation’s top collegiate linebacker as a senior, he was also a two time All-Pac 12 Conference selection.
