Dodgers announce Spring Training TV schedule
The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced their 2012 Spring Training broadcast schedule. Eighteen of the Dodgers' spring games will be televised in high definition, including the three Los Angeles exhibition games, and the Dodgers' regular season on-air talent will call all of them.
The duos of Steve Lyons and Eric Collins and Rick Monday and Charley Steiner, who announce the Dodgers' regular season broadcasts, will call all Spring Training games broadcast from Camelback Ranch – Glendale. Lyons and Collins partner on PRIME TICKET and KCAL 9 for all road games during the regular season and Monday and Steiner call all regular season broadcasts on AM 570, Fox Sports Los Angeles.
On the Spanish side, KTNQ 1020's regular team of Hall of Fame Broadcaster Jaime Jarrín and Pepe Yñiguez will call all spring broadcasts. Fernando Valenzuela will join Jarrín and Yñiguez on Univision Radio on March 17 and 18 and again on April 3.
Hall of Famer Vin Scully will announce the Dodgers' game against the Angels at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, April 3.
PRIME TICKET will carry 13 games live and KCAL 9 will broadcast two, while the Dodgers' new radio broadcast partner, AM 570, Fox Sports Los Angeles, will air nine spring games and KTNQ 1020 will carry eight. Many radio games will also be available on the Dodgers Radio Network and streamed live on dodgers.com and ProAngle Media will produce all 15 high definition telecasts.
The television broadcast schedule begins as PRIME TICKET airs the Dodgers' first spring home game at Camelback Ranch on Tuesday, March 6 at 1:05 p.m., as they take on the San Francisco Giants. PRIME TICKET will also carry Dodgers vs. Cubs on March 11, the Dodgers vs. the AL Champion Texas Rangers on March 16 and the 7:05 p.m. night game on St. Patrick's Day as the Dodgers take on the Giants.
KCAL 9 will televise Dodgers vs. Angels at 1:05 p.m. on March 18 and the 1:05 p.m. game on March 24 as the Dodgers play the Indians at Camelback Ranch.
The Dodgers' three Los Angeles exhibition games against the Angels on April 2, 3 and 4 will air on FS WEST, KCAL and FS WEST, respectively.
