Dirk: I 'probably came back a little too early'

Anyone who has watched Dirk Nowitzki since his return from a sprained right knee on Jan. 15th has noticed that something isn't quite right with the perennial All Star.
In the seven games since his return, Nowitzki has averaged just 19.0 points and 4.9 rebounds on a mere 38.4 percent shooting, all well below his averages prior to getting hurt.
Speaking to The Ticket's Bob Sturm and Dan McDowell on Thursday, Nowitzki confirmed that he fast-tracked his return to the court in attempt to help the slumping Mavs, who skidded to 2-7 in his absence
"[I] probably came back a little too early, but that losing streak didn't help," he conceded.
Mavs fans can breathe a sigh of a relief, though, as Nowitzki insists that the knee is feeling better by the day.
