Devon Still surprises Lauren Hill, basketball player fighting cancer for one last game
For one morning at Mount St. Joseph University's women's basketball practice, two of the most visible athletes fighting in the battle against cancer stood side by side.
Supporters of Devon and Leah Still have used the tag "LeahStrong" on social media platforms to raise of awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. For Lauren Hill, it's "OneLastGame," a reference to her wish to compete in a collegiate basketball game before the disease takes her.
Fortunately the NCAA granted an exemption to Mount St. Joseph University women's basketball team to advance their season opener two weeks early on Nov. 2 to help enable Hill to realize her wish.
