Scottsdale Desert Mountain's Kyle Allen, ranked by Scout.com as the top quarterback recruit in the country, committed to Texas A&M on Monday.
The highly recruited Allen, Scout's No. 21 player overall in the 2014 recruiting class, made a surprise announcement on Twitter just a week after trimming his list of possible destinations to five. His list of finalists included A&M, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and UCLA.
