Dayton holds off Robert Morris for 24-21 win

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) -- Branden Johnson caught two touchdowns and logged 133 yards receiving as Dayton held off Robert Morris for a 21-14 win on Saturday.
Johnson caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from Will Bardo early in the fourth quarter to break a 7-7 tie before a rushing touchdown from Connor Kacsor helped Dayton build a two-score lead.
Duane Mitchell caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Paul Jones with less than two minutes remaining to cut the Robert Morris deficit in half, but the ensuing onside kick was recovered by Dayton.
The Dayton defense held Robert Morris in check throughout the game, limiting the Colonials to 187 yards of total offense. Robert Morris was just 3-12 on third-down conversions.
The Flyers (2-1) defeated the Colonials (1-2) for the 11th consecutive time. It was the 200th game in Robert Morris program history.
