Davis, Pelicans take down Atlanta in Biloxi, Miss.

BILOXI, Miss. (AP) -- Anthony Davis scored 23 points and the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Atlanta Hawks 105-73 in a preseason game Sunday.

New Orleans scored the game's first nine points and took a 34-18 lead after one quarter. Jrue Holiday hit a pair of 3-pointers during the early rally and finished with 13 points and six assists.

New Orleans shot 63.6 percent (14 of 22) from the floor in the first quarter. Atlanta missed 11 of its first 18 shots.

Ryan Anderson came off the bench to score 20 points. Al-Farouq Aminu added 14 points. Anthony Morrow had 11 and Austin Rivers finished with 10.

Atlanta was led by Al Horford's 21 points. Paul Millsap added 13. They were the only Hawks in double-figures.
