ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Ray Davis has been given unanimous approval to succeed Nolan Ryan as the controlling owner of the Texas Rangers.
Owners took the vote Thursday at their quarterly meeting.
Ryan, a Hall of Fame pitcher, resigned last month and said he will sell his ownership stake to Davis and Bob Simpson, the team's co-chairmen.
