D-backs vs. Giants home opener is highest rated on FOX Sports Arizona
Monday night's Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants game produced the highest rating ever for a D-backs home opener on FOX Sports Arizona since the network became their exclusive television home in 2008 (prior to 2008, the home opener was televised on 3TV).
According to Nielsen Media research, the sold-out game generated a 6.0 rating with a 10 share, which means an average of 108,156 Phoenix households watched the telecast. The telecast's peak rating was a 7.4 during the 8:15 quarter hour (133,392 Phoenix households). Additionally, this was the highest rated D-backs game of any kind on FOX Sports Arizona since the 2011 season and the best rating for a D-backs home opener on any network since 2004.
