PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that they are sold out of seats for their next five home games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Limited lawn seating is still available for those games, while some seats are available on March 29 (vs. Cleveland) and April 2 (vs. Chicago Cubs).

“There is so much excitement right now for the D-backs, and you can see that every day here at Salt River Fields,” said D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall. “The fans have turned out again in record numbers, and we’re seeing a real impact on tickets at Chase Field as well.”

Earlier today, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick was named one of four finalists for Sports Facility of the Year by the SportsBusiness Journal. The winner of the best new facility will be unveiled on May 23 in a ceremony in New York.

At the halfway point of the Spring Training schedule, the D-backs have averaged a Cactus League-best 11,296 fans for their first eight home games, selling out six of those contests. The D-backs set a Salt River Fields single-game attendance mark on March 16 with 12,559 fans, eclipsing the two previous records set earlier this spring.

In the club’s inaugural season at Salt River Fields in 2011, the D-backs set a franchise attendance mark by hosting 189,767 fans for 17 games, an average of 11,161 per game.
