Cut and dash: Knoxville barber says Kiffin still owes $14

Lane Kiffin's return to Knoxville will bring a range of emotions for Tennessee fans, most of them on the hatred end of the spectrum. But for one barber, there's something far deeper, because he says Kiffin still owes him for a haircut.

As detailed by NBC affiliate WBIR (with tongue firmly planted in cheek), Kiffin -- who left the Volunteers in January 2010 and now serves as No. 4 Alabama's offensive coordinator -- bolted the land of Big Orange having not paid Rusty Manis, owner of the Western Plaza Barber Shop, $14.

It was Manis that was one of Kiffin's first stops when he arrived in Knoxville in 2008 and "We trimmed his hair because he was going to all of his press conference stuff," Manis said.

But in his follow up visit, Kiffin didn't have any money on him and Manis let it slide.

"I said just 'catch us next time' and pay during your next visit," Manis said. "We do that a lot. Sometimes folks either forget their wallets or their kids took lunch money or something. Almost everyone pays us back."

Everyone that is, except for Kiffin.

Now, as Kiffin hits Neyland Stadium four year later with the Crimson Tide, who are eyeing an eighth straight victory in the series, Manis doesn't expect that $14 to be paid.

"Maybe he'll pay his bill, but I wouldn't bet on it," said Manis. "He's probably going to be too busy."
