Coyotes recall Stone from Portland

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Coyotes have recalled defenseman Michael Stone from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. He takes the roster place of defenseman David Rundblad, who was reassigned to Portland.

Stone, 6-feet-3, 210 pounds, has six goals, 16 assists and 16 penalty minutes in 33 games with Portland. He appeared with 13 games for the Coyotes last season, recording one goal and two assists.

Stone was a third-round draft choice of the Coyotes in 2008.
