GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Coyotes re-signed center Andy Miele to a one-year, two-way contract on Friday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 5-foot-9 Miele, the 2011 Hobey Baker winner at Miami (Ohio), had 16 goals and 38 assists in his first professional season last year with Phoenix's AHL affiliate in Portland, Maine. His 54 points led the Pirates.

Miele made his NHL debut with the Coyotes last Oct. 23 at Anaheim and played in seven regular-season games for the Coyotes, although he did not record a point.

The 24-year-old led the NCAA in scoring in 2010-11 with 24 goals and 47 assists in just 39 games for Miami (Ohio).
