Coyotes assign 3 players to Portland

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes reduced their roster to 28 by assigning forwards Tim Kennedy, Brandon McMillan and Brandon Yip to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate.
