Cowboys QB Tony Romo meets Redskins fan Kevin Durant
Although Kevin Durant is a Washington Redskins fan, the NBA superstar didn't seem to have a problem posing for a photo with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo Monday night.
Romo was in attendance for Oklahoma City's 111-109 home victory over the Atlanta Hawks. After the game, Durant snapped a picture with Romo and posted it to his Instagram account.
Durant wrote: "Redskin guy til I die but I must say that it was a joy meeting Tony Romo and his family! He's definitely one of my favorite players now, lol! #RGiii"
The Thunder trailed 107-104 with 2:33 to go but Durant outscored Atlanta 7-2 the rest of the way. Durant finished with 41 points, marking the fifth time this month he's scored more than 40 in a game.
Romo had back surgery last month but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones projects that his quarterback will be recovered in time for the team's organized team activities in the spring.
