Comment of the Day: Real magic
Cleveland sports has been downtrodden for some time now, but, as Zac Jackson pointed out, sunnier days may be ahead.
It's from Zac's story that we draw today's Comment of the Day, which comes from ZipClassic. He's looking forward to "real magic" starting in Cleveland.
I say Cleveland started to turn things around about 2 years ago. People can say what they want about big names never wanting to come to Cleveland, and maybe that's true, but consider that not only have big name players not wanted to come, big name coaches didn't either. Enter Terry Francona. Tito has been the biggest hire in recent Cleveland sports memory and with him came a few solid free agents. Since then the other organizations have begun to really focus on cleaning house and build off that momentum. The Browns have done practically everything right this past off season including bringing in solid talent. It's not clear what the Cavs are going to do but they are in a spot to turn their fortunes around as well. It feels like a competition. Each team wants to be the one to end the championship drought and whoever does will not only be cheered for it by the fans but from the other teams as well because that will unload the burden from their shoulders and then some real magic may start happening.
