Today's comment of the day comes from the article "Female official works on crew at Browns minicamp, hopes to break NFL barrier," which generated some interesting discussion on the SportsTime Ohio Facebook page.
Sarah Thomas is in the NFL's training program to become an official and spent time at Browns minicamp. Erica thinks Thomas has just as much right as anyone else to get a shot.
"LOL at some of the comments. Exactly how many current refs are former NFL players? Former pro players don't ref, they sit in the booth or studio! She knows the rules or she wouldn't be in the development program! Give her a chance!"
Browns head coach Mike Pettine said Thomas did a good job. We'll see if she works her way up and gets an opportunity in a regular season game.
