College baseball is coming to Comerica Park.

Michigan State will play Central Michigan April 20 at 6:35 p.m. in the first college game ever at the Detroit Tigers' home ballpark, which opened in 2000.

A news conference is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Comerica to make the official announcement.

The game was originally scheduled to be a home game for CMU in Mount Pleasant.

Central Michigan (36-22) is the defending Mid-American Conference champions. MSU was 34-19 last season.

CMU leads the all-time series, 62-46, going back to 1911.
