Collison among players to participate in Drew League
LOS ANGELES -- July 1 has come and gone and NBA players are now to able to participate in the Drew League.
With the league being off last weekend because of the 5th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet, Saturday marked the first time since the July 1 mark that NBA players could take the Drew League floor.
Some of the players to show up include Jordan Crawford of the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee (who wowed the crowd with an incredible dunk over a defender), and new Clippers point guard Darren Collison.

The UCLA alum has returned home. Collison also played his high school ball just outside of Los Angeles at Etiwanda High School.
On Saturday, he suited up for Salvatori's No Schnacks as they took on Top Prospects in Game 3 of the Saturday slate.
Collison led his team to an 84-81 win and finished with 27 points, six assists, six rebounds, and a steal.

Collison recently signed a two-year deal with the Clippers where he will play behind Chris Paul -- shades of his rookie season in 2009 where he had a similar role when the two were teammates in New Orleans.
