CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Indians will host Tribe Fest 2013, presented by KeyBank, on Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 at Progressive Field. The event will feature a wide range of activities, and give fans the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Indians players and personalities. Tribe Fest is a new event for 2013 and replaces the Tribe on Tour shopping mall events from the previous few years. Current Indians players including Jason Kipnis, Lonnie Chisenhall, Vinnie Pestano, Carlos Santana and many more will be on hand to sign autographs, take photos, answer fan questions and conduct youth baseball clinics with the fans in attendance. Activities also include tours of the Indians clubhouse and indoor batting cages, and the chance to interact with manager Terry Francona, Indians alumni and Slider. “We are excited to bring this event to Progressive Field and give fans a direct connection with our current players, manager Terry Francona and some of our alumni,” said Indians President Mark Shapiro. “In listening to feedback, getting to know our players and coaches is incredibly meaningful to our fans and it is important for us to provide that opportunity as we head toward the 2013 season.” Tribe Fest runs from Noon to 6:00PM on both days, and fans can access the event through Gate A. All events will be held indoors near the players and coaches areas on the service level of Progressive Field. Tickets to the event go on sale at 10:00AM ET today and are $10.00. They can be purchased online, at the Progressive Field box office, or at any Indians Team Shop. There are a limited number of tickets available for the event, and fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early. By purchasing in advance, kids 12 and under can attend the event for FREE, and there is a limit of two free children’s admissions per paying adult.
