CINCINNATI –The University of Cincinnati and Brigham Young University announced Thursday an agreement to play a two-game series in 2015-16. The Bearcats will play in Provo, Utah, on October 24, 2015, and BYU will come to Cincinnati on November 12, 2016. It will be the first-ever games played between UC and BYU. “We are very pleased to announce this home and home series with BYU,” said UC director of athletic Whit Babcock.” They have a storied history and we look forward to competing against an opponent of their caliber.  It should be a wonderful addition to our home schedule in Nippert Stadium for our ticket holders as well as serving as a great student-athlete experience for our players when we travel to Provo.” The 2015 game will be the first time the Bearcats will play in the state of Utah. In the 125-year history of UC football, the Bearcats only opponent from Utah was a 1997 matchup with Utah State University in the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho, a 35-19 Bearcats’ victory. The Bearcats (5-2, 1-1 BIG EAST Conference) return to action Saturday in Nippert Stadium, taking on league rival Syracuse at noon ET. The game will be televised by the BIG EAST Network (WKRC Local 12 in Cincinnati) and air on 700 WLW-AM.
