Chrysolite wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) Chrysolite held off Caribean Beat by a half-length Friday in the $65,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares on the turf at Belmont Park.

Chyrsolite grabbed the lead with a four-wide rally at the top of the lane and was fully extended in deep stretch to get her third win in nine starts. The 3-year-old, ridden by Jose Ortiz for trainer David Donk, paid $11.40, $5.60 and $4.20.

Caribean Beat returned $5.10 and $3.60 while The Tea Cups paid $4.10 to show.

The time was 1:35.95 for a mile over the course rated good
