Whether the Reds can re-sign Shin-Soo Choo remains to be seen, but the entrance of the Yankees into the pursuit of his services would seem to be a bad sign for Cincinnati. Their Gotham City neighbors might be around to drive up the price, too.
Baseball insider Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported Tuesday morning Choo is at the top of the Yankees' list along with former Cardinal Carlos Beltran.
Additionally, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports the Mets are likely to speak with Choo's agent, Scott Boras, to discuss the outfielder as well as Boras client Stephen Drew.
