KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs made two moves on their defensive line Friday, releasing tackle Daniel Muir and claiming end Austen Lane off waivers from Jacksonville.
Muir never played for the Chiefs, who signed him as a free agent January 18. He played for the Jets last season after having played for Green Bay (2007) and Indianapolis (2008-11). He started 26 of his 46 NFL games.
Lane, a fifth-round draft pick of the Jaguars in 2010, played in 28 games (17 starts) over three seasons in Jacksonville. He recorded 64 tackles (46 solo) and 3.0 sacks and forced one fumble.
