Chelsea, Real Madrid to vie for Int'l Champions Cup title

The final two games of the second round of the inaugural Guinness International Champions Cup were played at MetLife Stadium in New York on Sunday afternoon.
In the first game of the evening, Valencia easily handled Inter, defeating them by a score of 4-0.
Valencia opened the scoring early in the first half when Ever Banega tallied the game’s first goal at the seven minute mark.  Jonathan Viera added another goal during the 34th minute, giving Valencia a 2-0 halftime lead.
Jonas added Valencia's third goal of the game at the 56 minute mark, and Viera scored his second goal of the game during the 90th minute to secure the 4-0 victory.
Both teams will now travel to Sun Life Stadium for the final round of the International Champions Cup.  Valencia will face the LA Galaxy in the third place game on Wed., Aug. 7, while Inter will play Juventus in the seventh place game on Tues., Aug. 6.
In the second of two games, also played at MetLife Stadium, Chelsea defeated AC Milan by a score of 2-0.
Kevin De Bruyne scored the first goal of the game for Chelsea during the 29th minute. The teams battled back and forth for the remained of the game until Andre Schurrle added Chelsea’s second goal during stoppage time.
Chelsea will now face Real Madrid for the inaugural International Champions Cup championship on Wed., Aug. 7, while AC Milan will play Everton for fifth place on August 6.
The final matchups and game times for the championship rounds are as follows:
August 6
6:30 pm: Juventus vs. Inter
9:00 pm: Everton vs. Valencia

6:30 pm:  LA Galaxy vs. AC Milan
9:00 pm: Real Madrid vs. Chelsea
