He has a lot on his plate thanks to his roles as a master chef and television personality, but "Hell's Kitchen" taskmaster Gordon Ramsay carved out some time Saturday to take part in the ultimate athletic pressure cooker.

Ramsay, 46, competed in the famed Hawaii Ironman as an invited racer and finished in 14 hours, 4 minutes and 48 seconds for the 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run. The competition was won by Belgium's Frederik Van Lierde in 8:12:29, the eighth-best performance in the 35-year history of the event.

Ramsay finished the swim in 1:20:21 and the bike ride in 6:35:54. His marathon pace slipped toward 20 minutes a mile at the end, but Ramsay kept his focus and finished.

"3.86km swim, 180.25km bike ride, 42.2km run & just over 14hrs later - it's DONE!" he tweeted shortly afterward.
