The NASCAR Nationwide Series has been dominated by the Sprint Cup Series regulars for some time, but already in 2014 the young crop of drivers have shown their strength.

Rookie Chase Elliott continued that trend Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway, earning his first career Nationwide Series victory by passing team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. and holding off the likes of Kyle Busch.

Scoring the win, the 18-year-old son of former Sprint Cup Series champion Bill Elliott impressed many of his competitors.
