Chandimal century lifts Sri Lanka to 299-7 at lunch day 2

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) Dinesh Chandimal hit a patient century and shared a stubborn 211-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Dhananjaya de Silva, who was dismissed for 129, to lift Sri Lanka to 299-7 at lunch on day two of the third test against Australia on Sunday.
Chandimal was unbeaten on 105 from 300 deliveries, hitting nine fours and a six. Rangana Herath was batting on 14.
Australian off spinner Nathan Lyon broke the 5-1/2 hour partnership between de Silva and Chandimal when he had de Silva caught by Shaun Marsh at short leg. His runs came off 280 balls including 18 boundaries.
The pair came together when Sri Lanka was in dire straits at 26-5.

Dilruwan Perera was out for 16 when he lofted a Jon Holland delivery to Lyon at long-off.
