Central Arkansas runs past Northwestern State 49-21

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Hayden Hildebrand threw for three touchdowns and Blake Veasley ran for two to lead Central Arkansas to a 49-21 win over Northwestern State on Saturday night.

Hildebrand completed 12 of 16 passes for 201 yards, connecting with Blake Gardner for a 22-yard score, Jatavio Wilson for 42 yards and Jacq McMillian for 45. Taylor Reed completed 7 of 8 passes for 53 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown to Desmond Smith.

The Bears (1-2, 1-0 Southland Conference) ran for 267 yards, led by Dominique Thomas, who had 99 yards on 22 carries. Veasley had 11 carries for 65 yards.

J.D. Almond completed 19 of 33 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns for the Demons (0-4, 0-2). Ed Eagan had both touchdowns among his 10 receptions for 108 yards.
