Celebs flock to Cowboys home opener
There were nearly as many stars on the sidelines and in the stands as there were on the sides of Cowboys helmets Sunday night in Arlington.
Sitting next to Jerry Jones in his suite was New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. But, before any Giants fans try to keep him out of MetLife Stadium when they return home, remember...Christie is a self-proclaimed die-hard Cowboys fan, and has been since he was a little kid.
Country music legend George Strait, who is about to embark on his final concert tour, was the honorary coin toss captain. Strait has a long history with the team and stadium. The first ever event held in AT&T Stadium was a sold-out George Strait concert.
Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan was seen on the sidelines.Hogan was there with daughter Brooke, who is engaged to Cowboys offensive lineman Phil Costa.
Hogan played it up with the crowd. He was shown on the Cowboys massive video screen wearing a New York Giants t-shirt. As Hogan was getting booed by the fans, Hogan did his patented t-shirt ripping routine to reveal a Dallas Cowboys t-shirt, much to the delight of the fans.
And if the Cowboys are hoping to finally return to the Super Bowl and bring home the teams sixth championship, then they hopefully got some words of advice from LeBron James on how to achieve those goals.
The reigning two-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat attended the game as a guest of Jones. James has not been shy in pledging his loyalty to the Cowboys over the years.
