Cavs' 6-foot-4 point guard defends 7-foot Nowitzki with hilarious results

Point guard Matthew Dellavedova is listed at 6-foot-4.

Dirk Nowitzki is a 7-foot forward.

Although Dellavedova earned a reputation last season as a scrappy defender, nobody would expect him to come out on top in a matchup vs. the much taller Dallas star.

In Cleveland's last preseason game against the Mavericks, though, Dellavedova found himself guarding Nowitzki on a switch. 

And Dellavedova held his ground.

The Cavaliers lost the game 108-102, giving them their first loss in the preseason. Cleveland plays the Chicago Bulls on Monday night in Columbus, Ohio, at the Schottenstein Center. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Ohio.
