Cards sign safety James Sanders

Free agent safety James Sanders, a seven-year veteran, has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.

Sanders (5-10, 210) played in 15 games and made six starts last season for the Atlanta Falcons and recorded 48 tackles and one fumble recovery.

He spent his first six seasons and made 50 career starts with the New England Patriots, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2005. He's played 99 games in his career (56 starts) and has recorded 348 tackles, eight interceptions and five fumble recoveries.
