ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Michael Blazek has been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers, finalizing a trade deal announced Friday in which the Cardinals acquired right-handed reliever John Axford.
Milwaukee had placed a waiver claim on Blazek, a 24-year-old right-hander, who was 0-0 with a 6.97 ERA in 11 appearances for St. Louis this season.
