Cardinals to host Texans in preseason opener

The Cardinals will play their preseason opener at home against the Houston Texans and will also host the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason game at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 24.

The date and time for the preseason opener has not been determined. The opening week of preseason games are scheduled for Aug. 7-10. The Cardinals' opener will feature the NFL head coaching debut of Texans coach Bill O'Brien and might also feature the No. 1 pick in the 2014 draft.

The Aug. 24 game vs. Cincinnati will be nationally televised by NBC and will kick off at 5 p.m. (MST).

The Cardinals two preseason road games will be played at Minnesota during the second week (Aug. 14-18) and at San Diego for their preseason finale on Thursday, Aug. 28.
