Cardinals send LHP Aquino to Memphis, eight others to minors

ST. LOUIS -- And then there were 50.

The Cardinals made nine roster moves after their spring training game Sunday, including the assignment of left-handed reliever Jayson Aquino to Triple A Memphis. The club also reassigned eight players to the minors: pitchers Corey Littrell, Trey Nielson, Daniel Poncedeleon, J.C. Sulbaran and Luke Weaver and catchers Steve Bean, Luis Cruz and Alberto Rosario.

The Cardinals' spring roster now has 50 players, including 12 non-roster invitees. That list includes 24 pitchers (four non-roster), five catchers (two non-roster), 13 infielders (four non-roster) and eight outfielders (two non-roster).
